Object Transparency
by Aye Haich on Aug 30, 2009 at 8:18:07 pm

Hello everyone,

I am a Autodesk Maya newb and have the following problem.

I am using image planes of a car, to make a model.

My object gets in the way of details in the image plane, I would like to make the object I created somewhat transparent so I can see the details, but I can't figure out how to do this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

One way to do that is to use (X-ray) mode. Look for it under the Shading option (see X-ray in the help area). It will make an object appear partially transparent until you unselect the option.

If you're gonna do it, try to do it well...if you can't do that then try to cover up your mistakes really well.
