viewing the grid through image planes
by mdowell on Feb 14, 2006 at 3:25:10 am

I've imported jpeg image planes into my scene, and I am unable to see the grid through/behind the jpegs in the orthographic views. Is there an option for viewing the grid through the image plane that I'm not aware of? Thanks in advance.

I'm running Maya 7 on a Mac if it matters...

Image planes have a 'depth' setting... if the plane is closer to the camera than the origin, then it will hide the grid.

Also, you can change the alpha on image planes to make them transparent, if the solid image is too distracting.
