As far as I know, "No." All the Canon consumer cameras have a non-standard hot shoe, so you will need an adapter. Here's one I found at Amazon, though it shows not currently available - make sure you read the reviews before you buy.

It does work very well with the Canon HV 20 but , needs a 3.5mm Stereo Mini Jack Plug which is on this videocamcorder, you may be lucky ?
