I have a 16x9 lcd as my primary display and I'm looking to add a second. I have an old 4x3 lcd display and I'd like to use that if possible. So my question is, can you mix the two aspect ratios?
I do this on my mac pro and it works great because you change the display settings for both monitors separately.

My Computer:
Dell Precision T5400
nVidia Quadro FX 3700
8 core 2.33 Xeon
8GB ECC ram

hello...

i haven't done this in a very long time, but i believe i did in the past on xp - that said, i was using ultramon (and still am):

but these days win7 might be smart enough to handle it - i just never tried it, as i like ultramon. i assume you have yet to just give it a shot?

That should not be a problem. Just go into the display settings or the nvidia control panel. Should be able to change from either place.

Great, thanks to you both. My problem is, the monitor is in my storage unit and I'd like to avoid pulling it out if it can't be used. But that's not a big deal, I'll give it a try and report back.
Thanks again,
Dan

Curtis talking about XP and Win7 reminded me... One thing Win7 can't do that XP was able to is span across monitors and have them act as 1 large monitor. You can span, but when you maximize a program, it will only maximize on one window. You have to manually drag it open across the 2 monitors.
