Upgrading xp 32 bit to vista 64 bit question
by Michael Mohr on May 5, 2009 at 11:12:29 am

I am thinking of upgrading to Vista Business 64 bit OS. I am currently running XP Pro 32 bit on my editing system with CS4. Would I be better off getting a full Vista version or is it OK to use an upgrade version?

I believe going to 64Vista would require a clean install, not an upgrade.
Good Luck! TC

TC,

Thanks for the information. I just got word from my PC vendor that a clean install is indeed my only option.

Yes, you can't go from 32 to 64 upgrade-wise. If you don't need the Business version and can get by with Home Premium (which allows up to 16gb RAM), Newegg has a great $99 deal.
