How to play PAL on a windows DVD player?

Just wondering is there any software on how to play PAL DVDs on a windows machine?

Yes, the software you already have may play it, but there are limitations due to the regional codes. You can change regional settings for the drive, but only 5 times.

There are options. If you will be doing a lot of this, you may get another dvd drive and change the regional settings on that one.

Or, if you are just doing this once and will be changing back (which would be 3 changes left), you can go to Device Manager, right-click on the drive, select properties, go to the DVD Region tab, and change the region. It will show you how many changes you have remaining.

Or, if you own the DVD and are doing it for legal purposes (my disclaimer ;) ), you could always purchase a program that removes the region codes, such as AnyDVD by Slysoft. I've never tried this, but it should work.

One other solution -
1. Copy the Video folder (and its contents) from the DVD to your hard drive.
2. Use VLC player from vlc.org, and File > Open Directory (i.e. point vlc to the folder)

This way, it won't matter if the contents are PAL or NTSC.
