artifacting video when transferred to external hard drive

	artifacting video when transferred to external hard drive by clyde villegas (clyde v) on Aug 28, 2008 at 3:48:30 am I rendered out a video from After Effects and the rendered video plays without any problem. I clicked and dragged the video to my external hard drive (which is connected by USB). When I copied the video back to my internal hard drive, the video is now displaying artifacts. I know that this is all digital so the copies should be the same no matter how many times I transfer the video from one hard drive to another. But why are these artifacts showing? Anyway, is it right to assume that it's the hardware that has problems and that the digital file SHOULD NOT acquire artifacts when transferring from one hard disk to another? God bless.
