Question about avid liquid 7 pro

How are you doing? I just have few question about the pinnacle 7 pro. Without the breaker box if u have pinnacle caputure card is it possible to capture analog video from a camcorder or do I need breaker box for it. I f u can answer my question I wold be happy I am not professional editor but I am really interested on learing video production currently I am using movie edit pro 12 version before I used pinnacle 10.1 consumer edition.
