Anybody have any insights on what Blue Ray burner can be used with a Mac? I've been asked to create a disc and know that Compressor 3 will be able to encode our HD content for Blue Ray, but having a hard time figuring out what burner we can use. Internal or external, doesn't matter to me. Thanks!

Yes you can install a Blu Ray burner into a Mac but there are no authoring tools yet available for Mac. Toast will burn to BR but for data only - not to play in a Blu Ray player.
DVDSP has a blue laser option but they're talking about HD DVD - both formats use a blue laser.

Thanks so much for clearing that up. Wasn't sure if HD-DVD used a blue laser at all, but reading up further, I see it means the disc will spin much faster in the player.

Adobe Encore CS3 for Mac will burn to Blu-Ray. But I don't think that comes out till June. Other than that I don't see why any external Blu-Ray drive wouldn't work.
