Terminology
by Emre Tufekci on Jun 26, 2008 at 1:43:08 pm

With switch to digital and tapeless workflows, I reccomend the following changes to our terminology:

Filming = Compiling
Speed = Write data
Print that = Archive that
Dailies = Instantenouses
Video tap = Lets give a monitor to the kraft services so they can tell us what they think about our lighting.
Bad Directing = DIT screwed up my scene
Producer = Jerk

[Emre Tufekci] "Print that = Archive that "

Hmmm. I'll use that one. The term "filming" is never used on our jobs. We don't use film and we don't film anything. I've been saying "capture" for quite a while. That term applies to any form of acquisition. Now that we're using card based cameras, the term fits even better.
