Hello,
I recently installed a CIPRICO MV5116 disk array on a MAC PRO to be used with AVID MEDIA COMPOSER 3 and NITRIS DX hardware. After completing the MV5116 installation I realized that MEDIA COMPOSER would fail to start and the following message appeared on my screen:
Problem conecting with Hardware
Interial error occured
0XFFFFFFF
Has anyone ever experienced a similar issue with the NITRIS DX hardware? Any solutions or suggestions are welcomed.

Christos -
where the HELL is your dealer that sold you the Nitris DX ? Didn't he set this up for you.
On the MAC Pro, make sure you have the boards in the following configuration -
Slot 1 is your graphics card for your computer monitors
Slot 2 is host card from your Ciprico drive array
Slot 3 is EMPTY for now, until you solve this problem
Slot 4 is the AVID PCI-e card for your Nitris DX.
Do you have the boards in this exact configuration ?
I assume that this is a NEW MAC Pro. When you installed the cards, did the Apple Expansion Slot Utility open up ? If it did, and you were confused as what to do, write back, and I will tell you what to do.

Thank you very much for your response. I will make sure that all boards are installed in the correct order as per your suggestion. The expansion slot utility is not functional on my Mac pro as this is the new motherboard with the dual 4-core Xeon CPU.
Please let me know if you need any further information about our system.
