AVID UNITY LANSERVER EX DISK ARRAY

Is a AVID UNITY LANSERVER EX DISK ARRAY usable without the unity software? I have Avid MC 2.8 on a PC with a MOJO- would it work as just a raid, without the unity software? I don't need to share media with other Avids.

As long as you are connected as if you were in a shared environment no one else needs to be connected. It will operate exactly the same way. Just remember that it creates virtual workspaces. You cannot seperately create logical disks from the chassis.
