Upgrade Medea RTR to larger drives

Hi all!
I have Medea RTR 720 with 5X180 HITACHI discs.
Only Hitachi (IBM) drives HDS - HDT series i can use,
or other brand - Segate, Maxtor, WD?
Only 250GB and 400GB capacity or maybe 500GB?
Cache more than 8M or only 8M?

Hi,
Hitachi IDE 7200rpm PATA 8mb 250GB and 400GB are the only qualified drives that were tested snd used. HDT would be the more current model.
