Hi,
As you know, the RT3X unit is a fully enclosed unit and will require complete dismantling to replace a drive. If you are up to it, you will need to find the exact drive or you could replace it with a Hitachi IDE 7200rpm PATA 8mb HDD with a capacity of 250GB or 400GB. The higher capacity drive will default to the smallest until all are replaced. These are the only drives that were qualified to work. Nothing else. Assuming the unit is no longer under warranty, you would be taking full responsibility for this repair. Please feel free to email me at richard_campbell@avid.com to confirm the compatibility of any drives you might locate.
Best Regards,
Rich

Hi,
Hitachi, formally IBM with the hard drives, are all you can use. You are limited to the Hitachi IDE 7200rpm 8mb PATA drives. You can use 160GB, 250GB or 400GB HDD's in your unit. The larger drives will default to the smallest drive until all are replaced. Please feel free to email me the model you find and I can confirm if it is compatible.
