I have the (2) RTR & (1) RTRX running tiger 10.4.1, using the ATTO UL3d. I attached the RTR's to the back of the RTRX which ran find under Panther. Now that I upgraded to tiger 10.4.1 it seems the drives stop working. Well the bottom part of the RTRX & ony one RTR will mount. And yes I updated the ATTO card.
I changed the SCSI numbers and nothing seems to work. I running on a G5 1.8

Ok I have just setup the RTRX drivers only. With my external firewire drive on and mounted I only it the bottom part of the RTRX driver to mount. SO I turnoff the firewire drive and lord and behold the RTRX drive mount the entire drive? What is going on. I looked use softraid just to look at the drivers come to find out the firewire is on Bus 0 & the RTRX is on Bus 0 also
Any by have a clue. oh yeah I have a G5 1.8 single, ATTO card is installed above the graphic card.. and I have nothign else installed in the reamining slots
The FireWire should not have anything to do with what you where seeing.
I would try re-seating all the cabels and terminators on the VideoRaid RTRX, and I would also move the SCSI to SLOT #4 in the Mac to get it on it's own PCI Bus.

I still having problem with (2) of the RTR connecting them through the RTRX's. I have no idea what is going on. I unhook the RTR and connected them to the 2nd scsi out on the card, and now I get one drive that pops up. I have gone through the scsi numbers on the drive that will not boot up

Over this weekend I played around with the setting I set the RTRX back to SCSI 5 & 6 and strip them, they come on with no problems. Now I also have two RTR which I want to connect to the RTRX drives. They use work when I had Panther OS, not that I have tiger the RTR will not mount on the desktop. I have gone through and change the SCSI numbers in the back up the RTR thinking maybe something cross, still nothing happens.
So I unhook the RTRX's and just have the (2) RTR hookup and they mount. Now I that I have a Dual SCSI ATTO 3d I'm thinking maybe I will just put them on the other connector... Well the section A mounts from the RTRX & (1) of the RTR mounts.. I have no idea what is going on.
Maybe someone can tell if they have this problem.. or if you can point me in the directs of hooking the medea drives to work. I would like to get a terbit out of this

yes I'm daisy chaining these 2 units together, and its the last on the chain. I have switch all the cables around I even tried hooking one of the RTR's up in the chain and it comes on with the RTRX's. Then I add the 2nd RTR on then both RTR's will not mount. So I un-Hook the 1st RTR, and then hookup the 2nd RTR and now that mounts with the RTRX's
So the problem I'm having is both RTR's will not mount with the RTRx's, but will mount if the other is not connected. What gives.. I also change the SCSI numbers around. Maybe you can tell me in which order should I have these (2) units daisy chaining together? Maybe it's the SCSI numbers, right now the RTRX are SCSI defult with (5) & (6).
What scsi number should I use for the RTR's seems to me I went through all of them. I would like to daisy chain these 2 units together?
