Hi Everybody,

I have following problem to crack:
There is 2 shots, the first one panning from right to left from a man's face into black, the second shot start from the floor: Pan up onto woman's shoes (continues later up all her body).
It is part of a stage show and very important, that it looks like somebody is doing that as one camera movement, not 2 shots. Unfortunately, the floor shot does not start in black, so it seems almost impossible to make it look as one shot. I attached my sample, that I did in FCP, with feathered border and moving the second footage from off screen into the Canvas.
It does not look really good.
Any idea how to do it better and more convincing in AE?

Thanx for any idea that could help!

Sascha

YOu could create a feathered mask close to her feet and animate the masks position to move with her feet to blend the floor into the "darkness". Not sure if that helps but best of luck.

Hi Stephen,

thanx, I will try that.
Hopefully it'll look better than my version :-)

Hi Stephen,

this is what I did now:
I tracked the shot - had to do it with multiple track point and Null Layers,
created a solid with a heavy feathered mask, attached it to the Nulls and voila.
It still is not really great, but it looks far better than my initial FCP solution.

Thanx a lot!

Sascha
