I am not sure where to begin trouble shooting my problem with trapcode. I am creating a night sky which requires a bunch of stars. Not a problem in After Effects... everything looks the way I want. However, when I render out my video, most of the stars do not show up and I get motion trails. I attached a screenshot of what I would like my export to look like, and what it actually looks like.

Of note, when I save just a still image I get the desired result. Also of note (or perhaps not...), I tried rendering out my comp as a image sequence and still didn't have any luck.

Any help appreciated! :)

What I want my project to look like.

What it actually looks like.

Here's the most common cause of problems like this: you're trying to accelerate your AE rendering with Open GL. Don't: turn it off and leave it off. Adobe employees don't use Open GL to accelerate rendering, and you shouldn't, either.
