No, up-rezing images from YouTube is going to be VERY difficult if not impossible as they are already highly compressed images. Even a fractal algorithm is not going to do much.

if you mean just jpg, then best bet is photoshop bicubic resize. if video, then use plugin like red giant's instant hd with antialiasing. It wasn't meant to take 320x240 so don't expect fantastic results.

While you will not get a pristine, artifact-free HD result from uprezzing this type of video source, assuming that you use a video application like Adobe After Effects, Apple Motion or Final Cut Pro, you can download a free trial version of Boris BCC 5, which includes the BCC UpRez filter and see if the result is good enough. The trial version will operate free and without watermark for a 2 week period, after which it will render with an X through the comp window. You can download it here:
