NAB Expo | Walter Biscardi: NAB 2012, Day One
Sometimes, our first impressions are the most powerful, and as Walter Biscardi walked the NAB floor on Day One, he had some definite strong first impressions. Read about what he saw, and reap vicariously the wealth of new information on sparkly new product releases from NAB 2012.

Very interesting announcements.
Regarding the T-Tap, unless you need SDI output, simultaneous SDI/HDMI output, or 2K, is it better than an inexpensive Mini DisplayPort to HDMI (w/ audio) adapter? The T-Tap doesn't have a thunderbolt output either.

T-TAP is 10 bit, DisplayPort (on Macs anyway) is only 8 bit.
Best,

T-TAP is priced right for the guy with an iMac who needs to feed a client /confidence monitor and/or an HD deck or BluRay recorder for broadcast, on a budget. I think they will sell a lot of these, maybe even to me, eventually.

You and Evan were quite polite to each other on the Autodesk panel I saw.
