Offline AVID Project covert for ONLINE FCP Project

Working on a Short project the has been offlined in AVID Adrenaline and now we need to online with FCP.

Is there a workflow for converting the project from AVID to FCP7?

Can we export an XML or something like this?

We don't have automatic duck!

Yup. Automatic Duck Pro Import FCP. http://www.automaticduck.com/products/pifcp/

AAF. Avid doesn't do XML.

Then you need to get it.

Thanks for your reply Shane,

So if AVID can output an AAf, Can we use this in FCP to move the meta across to reference the ProRes media in FCP?

Been cutting on FCP since V1 and only first time I have the cross over and touch AVID, So don't thinkI'll be laying money out for Auto duck as would purchase something more everyday useful.

Your option is EDL, limited but will get most across after a few tests.

And then you have to reconnect, for that you need this:

But if you have a fair amount of audio leveling / fx done, be prepared to re-do that all, as most will not come across with an EDL...
