interlacing? sudden unexplained problem with rendering and exporting

I have been using Avid Liquid 7 for a long time and very suddenly have a problem with exporting a simple slide show. The cross fades between slides/video clips are showing up in the render window and on the finished DVD with horizontal lines. (any transitions I put in are doing the same thing). I have not changed any settings (that I know of), but in the middle of a project this has happened. I am frantic as I have some deadlines and cannot figure out the problem. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling to get back the factory defaults, but it didn't work. I ended up rebuilding one project all night on my old liquid 6 just to get it done on time. I do not know what is wrong with my settings on Avid Liquid 7. Any ideas? (I am exporting to DV for DVD video TS image.)

Thank you. I have been told it is an interlacing problem, but I cannot figure out how my settings could have changed in the middle of my work. I have now completely uninstalled the program and reinstalled the program and still have the problem. I know it must be settings b/c I ended up rebuilding my slide show project on Liquid 6 to meet my deadline yesterday and it rendered/exported just fine from there.
Today, I have completely uninstalled Avid Liq 7 and reinstalled. I seem to not be having the problem (I think). I do still see white, black or green lines on the transition pieces in the rendering window when the project is rendering, but when I export to DVD VIDEO TS file it seems to not show up on the final product.
I hope that my settings were reset to defaults when I reinstalled. time will tell.

I posted earlier that I might have solved my problem by reinstalling the program, but I was wrong. The problem still occurs...it is not visible when playing in the timeline. It occurs only after rendering/exporting.
The problem occurs whereever I have placed a transition/cross fade in the piece...there are green or white horizontal lines at each transition. I am exporting the videos to DVD Video TS files to burn later to DVD using Nero.
Also, I used my old Liquid 6 to do a project and had no trouble exporting, so the export problem is occuring somewhere in Avid Liquid 7.
I really appreciate if there is anyone out there that might have some idea of what I should try next. thank you.

the problem would not show up on the computer...i posted web previews of what I was doing with no evidence of this problem....that is why I got caught at the last minute with the issue. The problem only showed up on the DVD when played on a TV...and later I noticed it if I sat and watched the render window.
I finally got some help from the Pinnacle Liquid forum. The problem was that I needed a patch for my graphics card. I don't know why this happened so randomly and suddenly b/c I use the program/computer daily for video editing... but the patch seems to have solved my problem.
Thank you for trying to help me. I really appreciate it.

A similar problem has just occurred for me. I have had no difficulty creating wmv straight from avid sequences until last night. Now the wmvs render as two halves of the vertical height transposed over one another and stretched to fill the height parameters. All other file types (AVI, quicktime etc) continue to render appropriately. No changes have been made to any settings from the last time I created wmvs a couple of days ago when everything was working fine.

Hi,
I had the same problem and since I found a solution, which may not be the best, but once you master it, it works perfectly.
I'm talking about the rendering of transitions.
I got the same problem once the file was rendered: green and withe lines each time there was a transition.
I learned to work with transparency, I put transparency at the end of one clip and another at the beginning of following clip.
The firs fading out and the second fading in. The two clips must over lap. In that way you create you own transitions.
I didn't read the all topic cause it was too long, but if at the end you found a solution better than mine, I'll be glad to know it and see where the problem comes from.
Thank you
