Importing from AE
by Daniel d'Avoine on Aug 17, 2009 at 7:54:32 am

(i have also posted this in the AE section)

Hi

I am currently undertaking a project were i have to export some corrected footage, removing a television screen from a shot, back to avid from where it was captured. There is an issues that the interlacing is flicker whatever field i export it in, including, progressive scan. This issue occured previously in the project and was solved when i had exported a clip in lower field by importing it to avid in upper field any ideas?

Captured to avid from digibeta mxf 1-1.
exported from AE using uncompressed QT.

Thanks Daniel

Try maybe exporting the AE footage as a Video for windows (.avi)

You are talking about how you export, but not how it is imported. Avid can import a clip upper, lower, or progressive. If you render out upper, and the editor imports lower, you will have a problem. Same thing if you do it the other way.

Make sure you and the editor are using the exact same settings.
