Copying Arabic text into AVID title tool

Hello,

I have a Word file with Arabic text that I want to copy into the Title Tool in AVID Xpress Pro for creating subtitles.

I am using a computer with Windows XP Pro and went into the Control Panel and Regional and Languages option>Advanced tab to choose Arabic (Saudi Arabia) in the Language for non-Unicode programs box.

This allows me to copy and paste the Arabic text into the Title Tool but in the process the text is reversed (eg. instead of LRT in Arabic characters, it comes out TRL).

Does anyone know how to cut and paste without reversing the Arabic text?
