can't view avid QTs

can't view avid QTs

I have a bunch of spots from a couple years ago that i cannot open up. Many are quicktimes and the info box tells me they are encoded as such:

16-bit Integer (Big Endian), Stereo, 48.000 kHz
Avid Meridien Uncompressed, 720 x 486, Millions

I get audio but no picture. I have been out of the industry for a while so i'm not completely hip to what the current codecs are, but i have installed all the codecs i can think of in the Quicktime folder, including these...

AvidAVDJCodec.component
AvidAVUICodec.component
AvidDV25Codec.component

Is there another codec that i need? Why can't i view these clips?

I would go over to the Avid site and download the full CODEC package that they offer..it is free and it should open up your QT movies.

Yeah, you're missing the Meridien codecs.

Mac and PC versions are here.

Scroll to the very bottom of the page.
