Selling My Copy of Avid?

can i do this? i bought it for school but never use it anymore since i have final cut. i have no use for it (let alone space on my hard drive) for it and its just sitting in my room collecting dust. id like to sell it but i dono if i can because i remember reading like a long time ago you had to switch it over to someone elses name or something if sell it or i dono...basically does anyone know if i can just put it on craigslist or ebay or do i need to do something to the dongle or something?
its avid xpress pro 5.7 i believe if that matters...i updated it from 5.6 or whatever it originally was for $50 and never really used it after that...
