Importing video from MAC to Avid Express Pro
by JoAnn Rawski on Aug 25, 2008 at 4:33:07 pm

I have a client that videotaped a presentation on a new mini camcorder with a memory card. He downloaded the video to his MAC. When I told him I work on PC he converted the files to PC format on a removable hard drive. I am not able to import them into Avid Express Pro. I believe they were MOD files. Any suggestions?

I don't think the fact that they used a Mac is a factor, but more likely that Avid just won't import .MOD file types. Can you convert the .mod file to QuickTime? (or worst case, have the client do that?)
