Mojo SDI to s-video
by Bernard Lyall on Aug 20, 2008 at 12:30:35 am

Just tried connecting the SDI Mojo using s-video output. Put the green BNC to green, red to red on the supplied BNC-s-video connector - but I only get a black and white image - as if the chroma (red) lead isn't connected. And indeed, disconnecting it has no effect. The same leads work fine using component output, and I've swapped around the BNC-s-vid connector in case it was faulty. I've selected S-video in the video output tool, though I imagine all outputs are active anyway... any ideas?

You need to set the video output tool in your software, it switches between component, S-video and composite.

Thanks - I tried that, as I mentioned. Doesn't make any difference what video output setting I choose.

Whereto are you connecting this S-video output? Does the device in question need to be set to accept S-video? Could it be an NTSC/PAL issue?

Thanks for your help - all sorted now. Turned out to be a monitoring issue. The signal was getting through ok.
