Mark while capturing
by Paolo Martini (Paolo) on Jul 21, 2008 at 11:11:43 pm

Hi everybody.
Is there any way to mark a point while capturing?

For example, I would need to mark (like a locator) audio that has some problem so that I don't have to listen it again later.

Is there any function like that in Avid?

Thanks a lot.
Paolo

You can mark locators while you capture. Look under your capture settings and you'll see what the hotkeys are. I think it's F2 or F3. You have several options (F3 - F10 maybe?) for different colored locators.

F1 and F2 are for creating subclips while capturing:

F1 - MARK IN
You can name a clip after F1
F2 end of clip

You can keep hitting F1 and F2 till you find the right mark. Last one entered is the one that sticks.

Off the top of my head I think it's F3 that puts a marker in the clip.
