problems acquiring footage
by Brando Quilici on Jul 2, 2008 at 3:11:41 pm

Hi Everyone,

I have material shot with the Panasonic Varicam in the following format: 720p 60Hz, 25fps and I am acquring the footage in SDI in the Avid (Adrenaline 2.6.7 Media Composer) in a project 25p. The AJ 1400 Deck is set to 25SD because 25HD would take up too much space on the disks (I have over 250 tapes). The AJ 1400 plays without any problems even if an error message appears on the display E-94 - FRAME SEQUENCE UNMATCH (!!!)
To make things more complicated, in the same project I must also acquire footage shot with the Sony Z1 in 1080i and miniDV footage, both 25fps.
In your opinion, from all this would it be then possible to generate a final master in 1080psf25 (or 1080i50, or 1080i59.94, or 1080psf 23.98). would it be better to create a project in 25i?

Brando
