HI Everyone,
I hope someone can please help me. I have Media Composer 2.7.2(no Mojo). I wanted to bring a DVD into my Avid. So I used MPEG Slipstream (upgraged to quicktime 7 with MPEG2 playback)... brought it in (3 hours later...) and when I play it the video is super choppy and the audio is messed up. As well I'm getting these errors
Exception:Unable to stop Spring Buffer's FillTread
Exception: Desktop SFConsumer::PLay Streaming Frame premature end of stream

I have never had the patience to spoon feed Avid on this stuff.
You will save yourself lots of time and frustration just digitizing it old school style. I just turn off deck control and capture it via svideo.

Not much info to go on here.
What kind of output are you setting up MPEG Streamclip to do,
and how long a piece of video from the DVD? Three hours for Streamclip to do just about anything does not seem right at all.
How are you "bringing it in," frame size ok for project, audio sample rate correct, codec?
I've done MPEG Streamclip extracts from DVD's on my home Mac and imported the resulting Quicktimes into our MCA (HP w/XP) at work without issues.
Only time I've encountered the dreaded "Spring Buffer's FillThread" Exception error was after an MC upgrade, and the NVidia driver needed to be updated.
