Slow quicktime imports on Symphony Meridien
by brian wawzonek on Jun 16, 2008 at 5:17:19 pm

I often have to load quicktimes into my Symphony Meridien and find that a file that's not so large (24mb) takes about 75 minutes to import. When it finally gets in, it's nothing special and should have taken a few minutes, not more than an hour. I can view the movie on my desktop with out a problem. Codecs to new for our old machine, or something I'm missing?
thanks

the proper codec.
Sounds like you are using the animation codec or some uncompressed codec it's having to translate. If oy use the uncompressed meridien codec you will see it using fast ijmport (it actually says this in the dialog box) and it'll only take a minute
...alphas take twice as long.
