P2 Loggin in Avid after Importing Clips

OK, I Give up. How the heck do you log footage from P2 cards. Avid makes no reference to this in anything I've seen.
Here's what I'm doing:
-I shoot on P2 cards,
-Insert the card in the PC,
-Launch Avid, Do "import P2/Clips to bin".
-Consolidate the clips to my media drive for edit.
-Log the clips and it's fine until I close out of Avid or put the PC in "standby". Then when I re-open Avid, all my clips are back to the original name.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm in the middle of an out of town edit and can't log anything!
