I've been looking at the work flow for an Adrenaline HD project. Avid suggests down-converting HD to SD, editing in SD, decompose and re-capture at HD.
This sounds fine but my question is; is this necessary? The media in my project will be DVCPROHD which, in FCP, edited just fine w/o having to recompress to an "off-line" format. Is this work flow for uncompressed HD only?

Thanks for any advice.

It's usually the workflow for projects that have more footage than storage for any given resolution. Capture as SD first, then recapture HD. If it is DVCPRO HD and you have the storage, then go for it.
