 | Duplicated objects taking the same colour

Sorry it's me again, I managed with the the help of Robert, to create a tube ... I then needed two more tubes of different sizes so duplicated the original (in the "set' window) and altered the sizes ... all fine ... but then when I try and colour them all 3 take on the colour, these are 3 different objects (OK in the same set) so why are they still being treated as one ... other objects, in the set, that I drew are taking their own colour ... any advice please.
