I have built a soccer goal in 3D Invig. But I didn't build it to the correct size. Is there any way to scale it down as an entire object? Right now when I scale it down, all of the objects it is made of scale separately and cause the object to come apart. I am almost done with this animation if anyone can help me with this, it would be greatly appreciated.

RECAP:

I built a soccer goal, then saved it as a 3D object. When I import it into another scene, the goal is way too big and I can't figure out how to scale it down properly. When I scale down, all of the parts scale independently from each other causing the goal to break into pieces.

Thanks!

Hi Gregory,

I guess you saved to the ZXO format right? Rescaling this format is unfortunately impossible without breaking your model apart.

My tip is to save your object to any other available format first then in the "Import" Pop-Up window alter the scale of your object. The default scale is (100.000)

You would need to relink all your maps but you could once you are done resave a ZXO file fully mapped and at the right scale.

Salut,
Serge

I tried the scale down during import but it gives me the same crazy scaling. I exported to Lightwave format but I cannot import a Lightwave or 3D Studio object. Is there something special you have to do with Invigorator to import LW or 3DS obejects? Or do you have to export out of LW as a .ZXO format.

This is extremely frustrating. Thanks for all of your help though, it is greatly appreciated!

Greg. I meant you should use Invigorator to save your original object to LW or OBJ. Then import the object and scale it down.

If you are still having issues, send me your aep without any media files. I will certainly find out a way for you. (serge at nyc-visual dot com)

Salut.
