 | Hello Everyone and 1st Question
by Jd Dauer on Apr 24, 2012 at 3:56:34 pm |
Hello - I've been an exclusive user of M100 since 1998 and am currently running Media 100 Suite 1.6.1 and Borris Red 4.3
I have the software version of HD and am running an Intel-based Mac v 10.6.8
I just purchased Toast Titanium 11 yesterday to author my first HD program and the result was less than acceptable.
I exported my roughly 8 min. program as a self-contained file (animation compression), which looked beautiful in QT. But after burning it to disc - it's really bad. A lot of video combing and text created in Borris is REALLY bad.
Exported .mov file is DVCPRO HD (720p60), Animation, Linear PCM, Timecode
Any recommendations? Intermediate codec maybe?
Thanks!
~JD

Either your footage is DVCPro or Animation codec; maybe it is both if you exported as self-contained and you mixed different formats and resolutions in your timeline…
Best thing probably would be to export your Timeline to QuickTime, with a full-raster codec like ProRes or Animation. What resolution is your timeline? 720p? 1080i?

Thanks for the feedback Floh.
Timeline is 720p 29.97fps
I did have a mixture of footage as well. P2, XDCam, and even some istock HD footage.
I'll try your suggestions and see what happens.
Best Regards,
