Thanks for posting the link here.

I've had to update and change the URLs for the interviews, so the current links are here:

Part 1 - An introduction, and a general chat about the art of cinematography

Part 2 - The impact of digital cameras

Part 3 - The Blackmagic Cinema Camera

Part 4 - Post-production with the Blackmagic camera

Sorry for any inconvenience and I hope you enjoy our chat.

I don't mean to be ungrateful, but is it my imagination, or do these videos have the worst audio hum you've ever heard? Sometimes you can barely hear Brawley.

Irony alert: in the the 3rd video on the camera, he wants to show how quiet the fans are in the camera and you basically can't hear anything but feedback!

Very interesting interviews but marred by horrendous production sound. I know it says Art of Cinematography on the tin, but have a heart!

[Paul Golden] "I don't mean to be ungrateful, but is it my imagination, or do these videos have the worst audio hum you've ever heard? Sometimes you can barely hear Brawley. ..."

In his text introductions (the articles on the Pro Video Coalition website in which the videos are embedded), Chris Zwar who shot the videos mentions and apologies for the bad audio several times. I guessed you missed that somehow?

Mistakes happen. It's unfortunate, but it happens. We move on. I'm glad Chris was able to shoot the videos and go through the trouble of making them available for us to see and hear, despite the hum.

Chris seems like a smart guy. I bet he learns from his mistakes. I look forward to seeing & hearing his future videos.

Cheers.

I agree.

It just would be sad if those videos had not made it to the internet.

I'm sorry, but didn't get a chance to read Chris's intro. And I certainly didn't mean to be unkind. The content is worthwhile, so of course post them. We've all had these afflictions...But for the grace of God go I....

The videos have been updated with cleaner audio, thanks to the generous help of Andrew Deme. So you can now enjoy them with considerably less background noise.

I have to say that I didn't really mind the hum. Yes it was annoying, and slightly embarrassing, but as I said in the intro they weren't ever meant to be professionally produced videos with cutaways, noddies or tight editing. It really was just two guys having a chat that we recorded on my own cheap DSLR.

Cheers,
