I just setup my killer iMac with SSD, 32 GB RAM, ioXT - Editing Workstation of the Future!
Only I can't seem to get Video out from Smoke 2013.2. Works fine in FCP7, PP6, and the io Control Panel says "in use by App (Adsk)".
Have OS 10.7.2 and io drivers 10.3.2
Any ideas?

Hi,
I will be getting a unit from the kind people at AJA this week to test but from what I was told you should use the AJA driver 10.3.1 for both Snow Leopard and Lion. Currently the drivers 10.3.2 are not working with Smoke 2013.

Hi David,
Please could you give some feedback using smoke 2013 on a top end Imac especially your experiences using the larger frame sizes.
I've been waiting for Walter to post something but havn't seen anything yet.

Hi Kevin - sorry, I have not had a chance to do much with the Smoke on iMac - too busy with regular work and summer travel.
I have an upcoming potential short film to color/finish that I might try to do on that system - shot Red 5k, will finish HD - but I'm not sure the Smoke 2013 can do the conform/re-link yet.

I am having the same problem as the initial post, audio but no video in Smoke. The AJA apps and Final Cut work well.
I downgraded from 10.3.2 to 10.3.1 but I still am getting black with audio. THen downgraded to 10.1 with the exact same results?
Any ideas on how to get video in Smoke working with the IOXT? Are there any other settings that need to be changed besides the Smoke Setup App?

Thats perfectly fine David, whats it feeling like with HD material, I presume you're raided. Is it feeling fluid and renders fast?
Does it feel like tomorrows workstation sitting on a quad setup rather
than an 8 or 12 core machine ?
