Cora MassonAV in/DV out on Sony FX-1 for VHS capture not working
by on Dec 16, 2011 at 7:34:06 pm

Hi All, hope i am posting this in the right place.

I'm trying to capture a VHS through my FX-1 to FCP. I've done this hundreds of times before with my Handicam, but suddenly the special handicam-to-RCA cable is on the fritz.

I know I need AV in/DV out on, HDV/DV is set to auto.

What's driving me crazy is that if I turn the camera off/on while connected to the VCR, I see the image for a second before the regular blue screen. I'm sure I'm missing a really stupid setting, but I feel like I've been through them all a thousand times!

Any help is very much appreciated!!
