Mark WelchFW 400 Device to a FW 800 computer

I have an older Sony HDV deck which needs to talk to a new iMac with a FW 800 port only. What kind of conversion needs to take place? The FW 400 cable won't even interface with the new iMac.

All you should need is a FW400 to FW800 cable.
