Does Sony have a camera with great stills AND video?

Hi All:
I love my Sony HVR-A1U. It has served me well for 3+years making long form cinema-verite documentaries. One of the many things I love about the camera is how low-impact it is. I'm often able to hold the camera far enough from my face so that I can still see the LCD window and know that I'm getting the shot I need while maintaining eye contact with my subject. This has enabled me to get intimate scenes I otherwise may never have realized with other cameras.
I have a new corporate client for which I will be making profiles. I feel a need to spice up the visuals and am considering a camera that would allow me to take great stills AND great video. I'm curious about the canon 5d mkii, but frankly prefer Sony to Canon. Does Sony have a camera that takes great stills AND great video? And if so, can that camera also do "photo bursts", like the 8 fps I like so much (I think that is the right terminology) on the Nikon digital still cameras?
Any advice you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Best,
Brian Lindstrom
