SONY HVR-V1P/E/U pixelation
by Josh Evans on Sep 17, 2008 at 3:09:39 pm

Hi

OK so im trying my best to avoid massive repair bills etc., and if anyone can help I will name my first born after them.

Basically, my camera works fine. But when there is fast movement in shot, or when i do a fast pan, or when a flash light goes off.... Pixelation. Unusable footage for that moment only, and then everything returns to normal, until the next fast moving object/ fast pan/ sudden increase in light.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I shoot mostly in 108050i HDV.

please, please help.

Thanks a bunch.

J.

I,m not real conversant on this but could this be the "rolling shutter" thingy (technical term) that happens with CMOS sensors?
