expresscard vs. compact flash

i'm considering purchasing either the sony pmw-ex3 or the sony hvr-z7u. what are the differences in using the SxS format or the Compact Flash format which is part of the sony z7u? Are there quality issues? are there space issues? which works best with final cut studio 2?

First, why such a broad gap in your comparisons? HUGE differences in both performance and cost.
Second, no quality issues, CF and Xpress are just storage methods. Kinda like wondering if HDD stores Word documents differently than a DVD. It's all the same, just differences in speed.
Xpress is faster. CF is more convenient. We have both EX1's and Z7's and use both whre appropriate. I love them both, but honestly prefer the Z7 for much of my work, simply because of it's familiar feel, and if I don't need the 35Mbps stream, I'm very happy with HDV. I like the feel and styling of the Z7, and in some ways I like the image better too.
Both work equally well with FCS.
