I am trying to do matching Timecode dubs from a DVCam DSR-45 to a GV-D1000 MiniDv walkman deck connected via Firewire. Picture and sound OK but I can't figure out how to get the timecodes to match. Am I missing something or can it be done at all??
Thanks,
John Davis

Never quite that easy!

It can be done between two professional decks using the external Timecode Out to Timecode In connectors and telling the recording deck to use external timecode. However using the MiniDV walkman this isn't possible.

If you were able to preset the timecode on the recording machine you could get away with it but it wouldn't be frame accurate.
