Does the Sony PD100 have AV inputs? As in RCA input so I could use it to route VHS and DVD into my FCP editing program?

The Trv900/PD100 doesn't have doesn't have A/V->DV pass-through, you can record the A/V to tape and play it back though.

So it does have the AV input I could use to at least record from VHS?

You can record the A/V input to DV tape, just be aware that tapes are 2/3s normal size.

[Blast1] "

I think you mean to say 2/3 of the "normal RECORDING LENGTH."
Of course, it uses the same size miniDV tape as other DV camcorders.
Since the PD100 only records at DVCAM speed, it will record on a "60 min." DV tape only for about 40 minutes before it runs out.

Simplesticly mini Tapes are sized by time available
[Matte] ""normal RECORDING LENGTH.""
Normal recording length would be about 70 meters.

It will record DVCAM and MiniDV. Just set what you want in the menu.

[r lague] "It will record DVCAM and MiniDV. Just set what you want in the menu."
What menu setting? PD100 records DVcam only, it will playback a miniDV tape but not record in the DV mode.
