dsr500 audio crackle

davedsr500 audio crackle

Just bought a dsr 500 and found the audio crackles with loud noise (such as a band or med levels) We've tried two mics (mk66 and azden) ,adjusted volume in manual and auto to no avail.
Any suggestions?

This is a known issue with this camera and Sony have produced a Technical Bulletin covering a fix for this. It also indicates the serial numbers of cameras that have this issue.
