DVX2000 strange image jump while zoomed

Hi all,

I noticed something the other day when I was filming with my VX2000. When I zoom to a certain point (about half or more), the image does a very subtle left-right shake or jump. It is hardly nticeable, but can be seen not only ont he final tape, but also in the viewfinder. Reducing the zoom alleviates the problem. At first, I thought it had to do with the stabilizer, so I turned that off but it still occurs.

Anyone else experience the same thing? Do I need to send in the entire unit?
