Can I simply watch TV via Firewire on my PC

I have an 'ADS PYRO AVLink with Premiere Elements (API555)' and noticed I can plug the output of my Direct TV receiver into the device and actually watch TV via Premiere Capture window.

Does anyone know of any applications or utilities that would simply monitor the DV port for incomming video/audio and allow me to watch TV on my PC without having to use the capture facillity of Premiere or other such editing software.

I am not looking to capture, or for hardware with a TV tuner; all I want to do is monitor the audio/video in real time in as simple an application as possible.
