Can you explain what shooting in 4K and up means? I am new to digital videography and really need to expand my knowledge.

Today, there are Several 4K resolutions that exist in digital TV as well as in digital cinematography. The term '4K' refers to the horizontal resolution of such formats, which are all on the order of 4000 pixels. Hope that helps.
