OK so is it just me or can you not perform a rolling edit on a secondary storyline?

If you have two adjacent clips with a connection location each, you can't use the roll tool. You need to select the clips and make them into a secondary storyline using the Create Storyline command.

If you're using the trim tool, you should be able to perform a roll edit on clips in a secondary storyline. This doesn't work if the clips are merely connected clips, so maybe that's your problem?
